Introducing Our New Mohs Fellow: A Warm Welcome Dr. Smriti Prasad!

Dr. Kouba is excited to announce the 2024/2025 Wayne State and TCI Mohs fellow will be Dr. Smriti Prasad! Dr. Prasad will begin her fellowship in July. She is a graduate of UT Austin and the UT Southwestern Medical School. She also has a master’s in public health. She did her internship at Baylor College of Medicine. She is currently completing her Dermatology Residency at the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Medicine.

“I developed a passion for Mohs surgery during my residency. I love how it combines technical precision with artistic skill to create reconstructions that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.”

                                          Dr. Prasad is originally from Texas and will be relocating to Ohio with her husband, her 1- year-old daughter, and their dog. Her hobbies include hiking, gardening, photography and traveling.
