Exploring the Vital Role of Histotechs in Dermatology

Histotechnology is a science centering on the microscopic detection of tissue abnormalities for disease diagnosis and treatment. At our Lambertville office, we are proud to have our own histology lab where our talented techs process all the biopsy specimens taken from our various offices. On average, our lab team processes between 70-100 specimens daily. Due to the high volume of biopsies from our six locations, we have recently expanded our lab team by hiring three additional employees!

Meet Our Dedicated Lab Team

Tiffany - Lab Manager

Tiffany has been an integral part of our team, working alongside Dr. Kouba for the past nine years. She played a pivotal role in designing the layout of our Lambertville lab and has been crucial in its expansion. Tiffany enjoys taking a hands-on, behind-the-scenes approach to patient care. She finds every day in the lab fun, exciting, and rewarding, and she takes pride in offering exceptional care to our patients.

Adrienne - Histotech

Adrienne joined us in September and brings over 20 years of experience in dermatopathology, anatomical pathology, and Mohs surgery. She finds immense satisfaction in seeing the lab results contribute to the treatment of patients. Her extensive experience and dedication make her a valuable asset to our team.

Molly - Histotech

Molly is our newest team member, having joined in March. With 17 years of experience in dermatology labs, Molly is passionate about being a critical part of patient care, even if it’s from behind the scenes. She appreciates the vital role her work plays in the overall patient experience.

Rhegyn - Lab Assistant

Rhegyn joined the lab team in January and is currently a senior at the University of Toledo, majoring in biology. She loves the constant learning opportunities her job provides, which keep her role interesting and exciting. Her enthusiasm for knowledge and growth makes her an excellent addition to our team.

Our dedicated lab team ensures that each biopsy specimen is meticulously processed, contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. Their hard work and commitment behind the scenes are essential to the exceptional care we provide our patients.
